The whitepill is that this type of person would go along with literally any proposition or idea so long as it comes from someone they perceive as being "in charge."
You're not seeing an exercise of agency or deeply-held conviction, you're seeing a pledge of fealty.

You can take comfort in the fact that it has nothing to do with "convincing" these people of anything because that's not how they and their social role actually work.
