I was asked to do write up..
I was doing a full time job from 8-4 so i really didn't have a lot of time to study in a day. That's why i didn't use a lot of resources and i think keeping the minimum resources is the key.
The resources i used are
1- Uworld: It was my prime source. It took me a very long time to do my first and only pass with average of 73%. There were times when i took a break of months because of the work load. My step1 was more then a year ago so i have forgotten most concept
So whenever a question showed up in Uworld i used to see the topic from FA if i felt like i have forgotten the concept from FA.
2-Uworld Wrongs: i did it in my last 3 weeks of dedicated where i was doing my nbme as well. I think it was the thing that benefited me the most. Before my wrongs i was scoring in 240s and and early 250s but as i started doing wrongs my assessment scores started improving to 260s
3-Sketchy micro/pharm: I did both of them in my step1 and i had their printed pdfs with me so every time a Qs showed up from these two subjects i would go back and see them from the printed books i had. It really helped me not to forget sketchy content
4-Amboss Ethics:
There are some 100 Qs which i did and this really helped me alot. I didn't do the Quality portion but i would strongly recommend doing it since i scored on the lower side in the actually exam 😅
I didn't do amboss for anything else
5-I didn't do any CMS forms/Divine intervention podcasts or anything else because i had no time, even if i had time i wouldn't have done it because too many resources confuses me
6- I did Nbme 12,13,14 and uswa2 during my last 3 weeks of dedicated alongside my wrongs. I think it was a game changer for me . I noticed a lot of concept which were asked in different assessments and were there ik Uworld but i never realized and complained about uw
Uw is the best resource and has everything in it you wouldn't need anything else if you're doing it correctly.
Also i was using this premade uw notes (AK notes). Because i completed my first pass in nearly a year so i felt like i had forgotten most of the concept. So after my 80% of first pass, i started using Ak notes in a way that whenever a Question came up from a particular topic,
I would read the whole topic from Ak notes, i kept doing it while doing my wrongs as well and it really helped me retain a lot of stuff during my dedicated even though i couldn't complete my wrongs but by the end i felt like i covered most of the topics.
Having study partners is a blessing. I really got amazing study partners. We would discuss nbme together. It really saved alot of my time and efforts because for most of Qs we were not reading through nbme explanation instead whoever got the Question right would explain it
