1. Focus on comments until you're at 1,000 followers. This will allow you to "siphon" the followers from larger accounts to yours. The more consistent and higher quality your comments, the faster you'll grow.
2. Focus on ONE niche when you're starting out. You want to become THE go-to guy or gal for one specific topic. E.g "he's the anti-seed oil guy"
3. Use Auto-DMs to grow faster. Get a tweet scheduler, put together 1-3 high value free gifts targeting the biggest pain points for your niche then post 2-3 auto-dms per week until you cross 500 followers.
4. Tweet a lot. Engage a lot. Every single person I know who built an audience simply spent a ton of time brute forcing their way into their market.
5. Give your audience what they want. Content gets easier as your audience grows because people will tell you what they want. Is there a tweet that's getting you more likes than others? Turn it into a thread or long form post.
6. Mine comments for content ideas. Find accounts that have the audience you want and look at their comments. Identity common pain points, problems and desires their audience are REVEALING through comments then write posts that address those points. Easy pickings here.
7. Always ask "how can I be more useful?" Help people solve problems in your content, comments and DMs. When you approach audience building with this mindset, it's impossible to lose.
8. Build relationships ASAP. DM your favourite accounts and offer to help them for free. Take your best conversations on the timeline to the DMs. Get on calls with as many people as possible.
9. Flex. Always be tweeting about your progress. Doesn't matter how big or small the wins are. People who want the same results will follow along.
10. Analyse your content every week. Double down on what works and ditch what doesn't work. Repeat forever.
11. Tell people what you want them to do. Follow you. Retweet you. Join your email list. People want to be LED.
12. Engage with everyone in your audience. Comments, DMs and calls. When you have 100k, you won't have the capacity to do it so start now while you can. This is how you build a rabid fan base.
13. Retweet content you love. Don't be cheap with the retweets. There is such a thing as retweet karma (yes I just made that up).
14. Show your personality. It's the most powerful weapon you have. This is why I'll never shut up about watermelon.
15. Repeat your core message at least once a week. It's a way to "rally the troops" and will turn your followers into fans.
16. Answer 2 questions:
> What do you stand for more than anything else in your niche?

Repeat.

17. Believe in Karma. X is a small space and you can destroy your reputation overnight. Always be polite and always treat people with respect.
18. Share personal stories. This will help you build a deeper relationship with your audience.
19. The most important X feature is the DM. This is where the opportunities are found, the relationships are made and yes it's where the munny is made.
20. The most important metric of success is NOT likes, comments or retweets. It's PROFILE VIEWS.
21. The best way to get profile views is to share wins and tweet about your profile, your bio or your follower count.
22. The most important part of your profile is your profile picture. Hint: Pick a photo where you come off as a likeable, approachable and relateable individual.
23. Building an anon account is the same as building a personal account. The only difference is it's much easier to build trust with a personal account.
24. The most important aspect of building an audience is be CONGRUENT. Your profile, your content, the way you engage, your tone of voice in DMs etc needs to be congruent otherwise you'll raise your audience's alarm bells and lose trust.
25. Have fun or none of these tips work. Find a way to enjoy your journey. If building an audience feels like a slog, you should find better ways to spend your time.
