How to learn 10x faster.
An ex-college teachers system to remember everything you learn:
What’s up, you peanut butter loving fiend.
↳ I’m Taylin.
An ex-college teacher of 7 years who is obsessed with learning.
After roughly 14,560 hours of teaching, I developed this method to learn anything quickly.
Now I’m sharing it with you:
1) Immerse yourself
If you’re a writer:
✧ Talk about writing
✧ Read about writing
✧ Spend time with writers
Make your studies a lifestyle.
Study wide to gain awareness.
Dive deep to gain understanding.
2) Simplify complexity
Useful skills = complex skills
They require you to master many ‘micro’ skills.
Ex ⇢ Copywriting
✧ CTAs
✧ Offers
✧ Headline
✧ Research
✧ Social proof
Weave all of them into a persuasive masterpiece.
Complexity maps make this easy ⇢
3) Craft a complexity map
To learn hard skills fast you need a map.
⇢ Pick a skill
⇢ Break it into its basic
⇢ Learn from the bottom up
Tips → basic → specializations → complexities
Here’s mine for writing:
4) Start with First Principles
Break your skill down into its core fundamentals.
A few writing examples:
✧ Ideation
✧ Hook writing
✧ Market research
Then turn them into a system…
“I fear not the man who has practiced 10,000 kicks once,
but I fear the man who has practiced one kick 10,000 times.”
-Bruce Lee
5) Systemize Your Process
Create a repeatable process that combines all the basics.
My writing process:
1 - Ideate
2 - Clarify
3 - Simplify
4 - Flow
5 - Flair
Learn in steps, not leaps.
6) Embrace nuance
The usefulness of knowledge depends on its environmental context.
↳ Context dependency.
Again, writing is a great example.
A good story hook is different from a hook for a blog post.
Context alters content.
7) Turn 1 failure into 5 lessons
Failure is a part of practice - it’s inevitable.
But reflect on each failure and you’ll learn a lesson.
Have 4 friends reflect on said failure.
↳ You might learn 4 more lessons.
Failure is feedback.
Friends are force multipliers.

While you’re at, you might as well retweet the 1st tweet.
It just might save a life - don’t ask me how.
Until next time,

PS. On September 29th, I'll be launching a cohort to help writers build personal brands with 6 figure earning potential.
