Refutation of D1mashqi's Lies and Ignorance About al-Harawi with the Words of Prominent Figures of the Naqshbandi Order such as
Ahmad al-Sirhindi (known as Imam Rabbani),
Yousef al-Hamadani (who is included in the Golden Chain of the Naqshbandi Order),
and Mulla Jami’.
According to D1mashqi, Sultaan al-Awliya al-Harawi is considered an innovator, and it is impossible for someone as filthy as him to be a Waliullah.
Now, let's see what the prominent figures of the Naqshbandi order say about Harawi, who is known to be an enemy of the Ash'aris.
1- Mulla Jami’ - One of the prominent figures of the Naqshbandi order and the author of "Nafahatu’l Uns Min Khadarat al-Quds" one of the most important books of Naqshbandi order -
Mulla Jami’s "Nafahatu’l Uns Min Khadarat al-Quds" is an expanded version of a book attributed to Imam Harawi.
as-Sulami wrote a work titled "Tabaqaat al-Sufiyya" .
Harawi took this book and, by adding the biographies of other sufis compiled the book "Zayl Tabaqaat al-Sufiyya".
Mulla Jami also (as he mentions in the muqaddima of his book) took Imam Harawi's work "Zayl Tabaqaat al-Sufiyya" and, by adding the biographies of other sufis expanded it to write the book "Nafahatu’l Uns" one of the most important texts of the Naqshbandi Order.
In the muqaddima of his work, Mulla Jami, after mentioning Sulami's "Tabaqaat al-Sufiyya" has summarized as follows:
"SHEIKH AL-ISLAM, THE REFUGE OF PEOPLE, THE SUPPORTER OF THE SUNNAH and THE VANQUISHER OF INNOVATIONS
ABU ISMAIL ABDULLAH BIN MUHAMMAD AL-ANSARI AL-HARAWI -قدس الله تعالى روحه- has added the words of sufi sheikhs not mentioned in the book."
Jami has mentioned that the statements made by Harawi in his gatherings were compiled into a book. And he explained that this book was written in the old Herati dialect. Therefore, Mulla Jami stated that he simplified Harawi's book and added the biographies of other awliya to it.
In his book, Mulla Jami consistently referred to Harawi as "Sheikh al-Islam" and in his biography, he stated the following:
"His title is Sheikh al-Islam, and in this book, he referred to as Sheikh al-Islam without exception."
After providing information about Harawi's birth date, Mulla Jami narrates KARAMAT related to his birth and life from Khidr.
Subsequently, he shares words regarding the elevated status he attained in matters of tasawwuf, poetry, hadith, tafsir and fiqh. Finally, he shares the following statement attributed to Harawi:
"I heard hadith from Qadi (Ahmad bin al-Hasan) al-Hiyri in Nishapur. He had lofty chains of hadith.
However, due to him being a MUTAKALLIM and ASH’ARI in creed, I did not narrate hadith from him!"
2- Abu Yaqoob Yousef al-Hamadani -who is included in the fabricated golden chain of the Naqshbandi order and considered one of the greatest awliya by the Naqshbandi followers-
According to the book "Zayl Tabaqaat al-Sufiyya" it is mentioned that the statement (which is called SHATH) of Abu al-Hasan al-Haraqani "The Sufi is not a creature." was narrated to Harawi.
He was quite surprised by this statement, as it seemingly resembles disbelief (the belief of hulool).
After hearing this statement, Harawi decided to ask Haraqani about its meaning and Haraqani explained the meaning to him.
Subsequently, this statement became famous among many sufis as Harawi's words, rather than Haraqani's.
Yousef al-Hamadani, when asked about this statement being attributed to Harawi as if it were his own and questioned about its meaning, authored a risala titled "Safawatu’t Tawheed li Tasfiyyatu’l Murid".
In this risala, he explained that the statement is not related to the belief of hulool but rather to the sulooq.
In this risala, Yousef al-Hamadani said the following about Harawi:
"THE IMAM, SHEIKH AL-ISLAM, ABU ISMAIL ABDULLAH BIN MUHAMMAD AL-ANSARI AL-HARAWI -قدس الله روحه وأدر عليه فتوحه-..."
It should also be noted that Abu Yaqoob Yousef al-Hamadani was student of Abu Ishaaq al-Shirazi al-Ash’ari and the first commentator on Harawi's book "Manazil al-Sairin."
Regardless of the subject, there is an important point that students of knowledge should pay attention to regarding this matter:
Regarding the old sufis who possess what are known as "SHATH" sayings, a judgement of disbelief should not be passed on them until their beliefs and purposes behind their words are clearly evident.
Because, as can be understood from Ibn Taymiyyah's narration from Ibn Khafif al-Shirazi -who was the teacher of Harawi's teachers- "Sufis use words and signs that can only be understood by those engaged exclusively in tasawwuf" and +
As those involved in tasawwuf also know, old sufis often speak using words that can only be comprehended by those well-versed in tasawwuf.
Sufis such as Junaid, Haraqani, Harawi -rahimahumullah- and many others were all renowned for their commitment to tawhid, sharia and sunnah.
These scholars, despite occasionally saying words that appeared mushqil outwardly, they made efforts to explain the meanings of these words in a manner consistent with tawhid and sharia when asked about them.
In this regard, reference can be made to the explanations in al-Sarraj's (which is from the old sufis) work "al-Luma" (pg. 453-518).
The founder of the Salimiyya sect Ibn Saalim and his followers (most of whom were Sufis) such as Abu Talib al-Makki can be given as an example of this.
Indeed, Abu Ya’la al-Hanbali, Abd al-Qahir al-Baghdadi and many others mistakenly supposed that they advocated the belief in the hulool of Allah's essence due to their inability to comprehend the truths in their complex statements.
However the Salimiyya sect did not advocate the belief in the hulool of Allah's essence. On the contrary, as narrated by Sarraj, the founder of this sect Ibn Saalim made takfir on Abu Yazid al-Bistami, because he mistakenly supposed that Bistami advocated the belief of hulool.
3- Ahmad al-Sirhindi - One of the most important figures of the Naqshbandi order / known as Imam al-Rabbani within the Naqshbandi order -
In his work "al-Maktubaat" Ahmad al-Sirhindi referred to Harawi as Sheikh al-Islam in more than ten places and stated that he was the leader of the sufis as follows:
"THE IMAM OF THIS GROUP (the Sufis), KNOWN AS SHEIKH AL-ISLAM with the title al-Khawaja (Master-Teacher) Abdullah al-Ansari said in his work 'Manazil al-Sairin'"
The statements of the key figures of the Naqshbandiyya order affirming that Harawi was a WALI and SHEIKH AL-ISLAM are sufficient to expose the ignorance of D1mashqi, who claims to be a Sufi.
If I wish, I can relay the words of more than 50 sufis from every order who attest to Harawi's status as a WALI and SHEIKH AL-ISLAM. However, I will refrain from doing so to avoid extending my statement further.
Because it is enough to demonstrate that D1mashqi, who betrays Allah and His Messenger, also betrays the Sufis whom he himself considers among the greatest awliya.
As seen in this picture, D1mashqi is requesting the names of scholars who made takfir on Ash'aris.
In response, @OneofYoda mentions prominent sufi figures such as Yahya bin Ammar, al-Nahawandi and others.
And D1mashqi, by betraying the sufis whom he considers as great awliya, claims that these individuals are "Hashwi Nobodies."
However, all these names are considered wali according to old sufis.
Mulla Jami al-Nakshi, in his work "Nafahatu’l Uns" acknowledges them as wali (except for Habbal bin Ahmad) and provides detailed biographies, highlighting their karamat, virtues in hadith, fiqh and tasawwuf.
Yahya bin Ammar was the teacher of Harawi.
Habbal bin Ahmad al-Hanbali was the leader of the sufis in the city of Tirmiz. He is also the teacher of Abu Mansoor -father of Harawi- who was a solid Hanbali and Sufi.
Abu al-Abbas Al-Nahawandi was the leader of the sufis of his time and was the teacher of Sheikh Amu (who was the teacher of Harawi in tasawwuf).
I would like to finish my words with a narration from Mulla Jami al-Nakshi, which is a verified karamat of Yahya bin Ammar.
Mulla Jami al-Nakshi, while speaking about the karamat of Yahya bin Ammar, said the following:
Sheikh al-Islam Harawi said:
Master (Teacher) Yahya bin Ammar fell ill. When he recovered, he organized a gathering. Two young men took him by the hand and led him to the pulpit.
Yahya bin Ammar said:
Yahya bin Ammar achieved all his honor while standing on this piece of wood. But I am no longer capable of it. They pulled Yahya bin Ammar's foot inside (indicating the onset of his death).
They pulled in Muhammad Mustafa's foot, and Abu Bakr sat in his place. They pulled in Abu Bakr's foot, and Umar sat in his place. They pulled in Umar's foot, and Uthman sat in his place. They pulled in Uthman's foot, and Ali sat in his place. May Allah be pleased with them all.
If they pull my foot inside, Abdullah (al-Harawi) will sit in my place and strike the minds of both INNOVATORS and MULHIDS.”
al-Harawi said: "At that time, I was sitting at the base of the pulpit. Yahya bin Ammar pointed at me and said:
This is Abdullah, the young boy."
Wallahi this is the karamat of Yahya bin Ammar!
While he was alive, he was the nightmare of the Ash'aris and other innovators.
After his passing, Harawi succeeded him and became the nightmare of the Ash'aris.
I pray to Allah that He grants us the opportunity to continue exposing the disbelief, ignorance and deviations of the Ash'aris to people, until our last breath.
Amin.
