when danish people say “just be grateful we colonized you and not america, you ungrateful people” meanwhile denmark used the same genocide tactics as america. danish people aren’t the good colonizers they think they are.

we had an Indigenous meetup and the way the nordic countries STILL treat Indigenous peoples is very very similar to how natives in america are treated so… absolutely not “the good colonizers”

if you honestly think sterilizing Inuit women & girls, putting IUD’s in children without their or their parents informed consent, government stealing Indigenous children, banning an entire culture & forcing your customs & way of living is a good thing… i got nothing good to say

putting Inuit children in schools where they and their families had no say in whether the children get to go to the “school” or not and forbidding them from speaking their language because they thought the colonial way of living was superior… i got nothing good to say about that
