The plan seeks to optimize the overall environment in Fujian, making it the first choice for Taiwan residents and enterprises to develop in the mainland. It's notable that Taiwan companies will be allowed to invest and set up audiovisual companies in Fujian.
#Taiwan residents are welcomed to study, work and live in Fujian. The policy intends to entitle them the same rights and social welfare programs of mainland residents. Academic research, school operation, community governance and other aspects of public domain are all accessible.
Many favorable policies are designed to attract Taiwan residents, facilitate trade and investment, such as prioritizing Taiwan as a free trade partner, setting up industrial clusters, etc. A more comprehensive transportation network is planned to support the communication.
Fujian and Taiwan have deep historical and cultural ties. People in two places have the same folk belief, for example the Chinese sea goddess #Mazu. The new plan of demonstration zone stressed the cultural exchanges and cooperation between Fujian and Taiwan.
