I'll show you 5 simple tests you can perform on yourself to diagnose a meniscus tear

We will quickly go over a cluster of 5 tests
If all 5 are positive you have a 92% chance of a meniscus tear
If 4/5 are positive, you have a 75% chance of a meniscus tear
The tests:
1. Mechanical symptoms
-catching
-clicking
-locking
If you have any one of these, its positive
2. Try to straighten your knee all the way.
Pain? Test is positive
3. Bend your knee all the way.
Does it hurt? Positive test
4. Joint line tenderness? Positive test
