GW 5 Notes - Teams ✍️
🔴 Man Utd - Got outplayed by Brighton. Not functioning as a team right now. Good fixtures might make up for it.
⚫️⚪️ Newcastle - Kept their first CS of the season in GW 5, which wasn’t a surprise given their xGC. Trippier/Schär/Botman all good picks.
GW 5 Notes - Players ✍️
💎 Haaland - Only 1 goal despite 2.56 xG vs West Ham. Should have scored at least a brace in GW 5.
⚪️ Richarlison - Came on and won the game for Spurs with 1 goal and 1 assist in added time. Does he get more minutes as the no. 9 going forward?
GW 6 Fixture to target 🎯
💎 MCI vs: NFO (H)
A fairly obvious fixture to target this week with Man City playing Forest at home. Could easily be a big win for the home team, Haaland is the clear standout captain and Alvarez/Foden/Doku are all exciting options.
GW 6 Player Recommendation:
I don’t think it’s too late to bring in Julian Alvarez. As long as KDB is injured, he should start and the fixtures are excellent. He’s a quality player with decent underlying stats, and he plays for a great team. There’s still points to be had there.
Chilwell: Keep or sell?
Chilwell is definitely not a ’must sell’ this GW, but there are legitimate concerns about his minutes. Paying 5.8m for a rotation risk from Chelsea isn’t exactly ideal, so I fully understand selling him for a Newcastle defender this week.
Jackson: Keep or sell?
The Jackson situation is difficult. His xG is great and he’s getting lots of chances, but can’t seem to convert them so far. Do you trust him to start finishing his chances? I’m not so sure about it personally. A move to Alvarez this week makes perfect sense, sometimes it’s as simple as just going for the better player from the better team. The decision pretty much comes down to how likely you think Jackson is to start finishing his chances.
GW 6 Tips 💡
🔹 GW 5 was a bad week for basically everyone. Don’t overreact, be patient.
🔹 Players like Bruno/Rashford are fine to keep as the fixtures are very good. Yes, United are dysfunctional right now but they still have a very good chance of returning. Don’t panic sell.

GW 6 Captaincy:
Erling Haaland - 💰14.1
Fixture: NFO (H)
There’s absolutely no reason not to captain Haaland this GW. Sure, Salah is a great option as well, but Haaland at home to Forest is on a different level. This is really not the week to go against him.
GW 6 Differentials 🎲
1️⃣ Odsonne Edouard - 💰5.6
Ownership: 4.6%
Fixture: FUL (H)
2️⃣ Rasmus Højlund - 💰7.0
Ownership: 3.1%

3️⃣ Callum Wilson - 💰7.8

GW 6 Wildcard 🃏
If you’re wildcarding this GW, I would recommend something like this 👇
GW 6 Wildcard: Pros and Cons ✅❌
Pros ✅
- Can move funds around and get Salah in
- Can go early on Villa players
- Easy way to get Newcastle defenders and Alvarez
- Can get rid of Chelsea assets
Cons ❌
- Won’t have a WC left to navigate the GW 9/10 fixture swings with.
On a general note, I think very few teams NEED a wildcard. However, I can understand the feeling of wanting to get rid of disappointing assets and move for Salah/Alvarez etc. It is worth saying though that 2 FTs or a -4 goes a long way and is often enough to fix an FPL team.
My GW 6 Team 📊
2 FTs, £0.3m ITB
Likely transfers:
Chilwell ➡️ Botman
Jackson ➡️ Alvarez
