One of the most unproductive Habbit you can adopt as a trade is trading against the trend / orderflow.
I'm not saying you can't do that...
But If you want to trade against orderflow then you should be doing it "before" the price objective is completed... And not after.
When it comes to Market Structure...
Swing structure is the most significant, and holds more weight than internal and fractal structure.
Now let's investigate what happened here ๐Ÿ‘‡
(look at the image carefully and keep reading)
As you can see in the example above..
Swing trend and orderflow is clearly bullish.
And the expectation is that price will pullback, and not breech the trend...
It should hold and cause price to continue higher.
Thats the blind expectation we follow until confirmed otherwise.
Now observe that when price is pulling back,
It broke fractal and internal lows, thereby creating a valid supply zone there.
But is that the kind of zone you want to be selling from?
Well the answer is yes and no.... Depending on how it forms.
Let me explain better ๐Ÿ‘‡
If price does something like that (in the image above)..
Then it is valid and 100% logical.
You're potentially trading the swing pullback, using the fractal demand failure as your confirmation that the pullback has potentially started.
Plus you have enough R:R to target.
But this other example (shown below) is entirely a different case...
For two reasons โคต๏ธ
1. Price has mitigated extreme demand...
And the swing pullback objective that you're trying to play is now likely over.
So you're basically 'predicting' a reversal which is not ideal.
2. What has been mitigated?
Price is coming from a zone that led to Swing BOS.
Remember that swing structure is more significant, therefore swing zone will be more significant than internal and fractal zones...
even if they both break some structure (like in this example)
What I'm saying in essence is...
โžข Don't trade against structure and orderflow..
โžข Don't try to predict a reversal
โžข The trend is your friend
You don't want to be taking unnecessary losses simply because you're trading against orderflow.
Do you understand??
Anyways I didn't plan to do this...
I was doing my weekend study when I observed it and decided to share.
Hopefully you found it helpful?
If yes, Retweet the first tweet so that others will learn too.
Happy weekend ๐ŸŽ‰
