Whatever your strategy is, you want to look UP one timeframe or zoom out
Find your external range

After finding your external range, you only want to trade your strategy AFTER it's been broken
Why?
It means the stop hunt has been made

If you trade the reversal using your strategy (whatever your criteria for entry is)
You now know you can put a stop in a LOGICAL place since the stop hunt already happened
That logical place would be under the lows/highs of the stop hunt itself
