If they make [terms of] peace, accept the seven Noahide laws, and accept servitude, they are like the rest of the nations. And if they do not make [terms of] peace, wage war against the Seven Nations and Amalek, [and] do not spare a single person, [neither man, woman nor child].
It can be said that the Seven Nations are not necessarily [recognised] by their ancestry [or] race. […] Rather, those that reside in the [Holy] Land, claiming ownership of it, [are counted from among them]. And so, like them, Amalek is a notable adversary and enemy of Israel.”
The same holds true for Amalek: anyone in our times who oppresses the Jewish people, manifests clear enmity towards us, and seeks to annihilate us from the face of the earth, is subject to the law of Amalek, as defined by Jewish law.”
