Around 2015 or 2016, one of my friends was in a place known as Eastleigh, Kenya, and there was this Muslim man who was a somali origin. He passed away, and the Muslims wanted to take the body so that they could wash the body, but there were 50 cats defending the body.
No matter how they try to chase them away, the cats r defending the body by attacking and hissing at the people. Subhanallah.
When the Ulama saw this, they themselves were shocked, so they asked the people: What did the Marxuum (the one who passed away) used to do b4 he died?

So, 4 people said: ''we used to see him going to the butchery and buying a lot of meat, and he used to feed a lot of cats, he loved feeding cats alot, so when he passed away, we tried to take the body so that we could wash him and preparing for the janazah, but these cats refuses
No matter how we chase them, they still come, and they even defend the body by attacking us.''

So the Ulama were shocked when they heard about this, they said: ''Who is going to take his position (ie. Feeding these cats) so that it becomes sadaqatul Jariyyah?

One man stood up and said : ''i will feed these cats for the sake of Allah''
The Ulama said: ''are you the witness oh people? ''
The people said: ''yes''
So the cats left the body, and the people began to prepare the body for Janazah prayers.
