We all think that globally Hindus are divided by language, jaati-varna, panth, nation & ethnicity right? WRONG!
Met a very wise person yesterday who said forget all divisions THERE ARE JUST 4 TYPES OF HINDUS
Understand to navigate the samaaj.
Short thread - 4 types of Hindus
1) Anti Hindu Hindu 10% - this is the rabidly colonized Gunga Din that comes with a Hindu name identity but the deep self hate is so subconscious that they actually hate you.
You cannot cure this so only option is confrontation like you do to an adversary
2) Apologetic Hindu 40% - Inside house they’ll have mandir & they’ll do festival get together etc.
But once outside they’ll feel embarrassed & say we’re spiritual not religious, all religions are same. Quickly feel ashamed with minor news etc. This is a fixable fence sitter zone
3) Ritualistic Hindu 40% - They are relatively open about their faith within reason. Might not even mind some obvious symbolism like thread on wrist etc.
Do recurring temple visits & pooja rituals. But that’s it.
No collective civilizational awareness.
But very changeable
4) Assertive Hindu 10% - This Hindu might not be ritualistic nor be very religious personally but fully understands implications of politics, street power, media narrative, strategic voting, demographics etc. & is willing to overtly or covertly assist with furthering interest.
To summarize
1) Anti Hindu Hindu - 10%
2) Apologetic Hindu - 40%
3) Ritualistic Hindu - 40%
4) Assertive Hindu - 10%
First assess which one are you. If you are already at 4 then your target audience is 2 & 3 move them towards 4 in whatever way you have means and ability
Once # 4 becomes 25-30% then your long term survival becomes brighter. Right now it’s at 10% so Hindus are on permanent back-foot. Adversaries know this & hence always attack #4
