How Muslim parents and guardians quickly noticed how LGBTQ was being incorporated in their wards books and cartoons. But we left some major things out, and we encouraged these things because we saw and still see them as fun. These major things are magic and witchcraft.
We really innocently do not see any problem in these things because they are children, but it's like we encourage this magic and make them think that magic and witchcraft are just normal. This is us as parents/guardians going against the speech of Allah.
We do not remember telling them how magic and witchcraft are not permissible in the deen because the West has made magic and witchcraft seem like fun making it seem like the practice of magic is a good thing. A reason why some kids do not see anything wrong with Halloween.
Because magic looks fun and we can have good witches and wizards. This is us also changing their psyche, and they begin to have tawheed problems in the future. The book on fairy tales and how the prince kissed the frog shouldn't be encouraged.
We only make them imagine unimaginable things. I remember having to jump some pages of these fairy tales to the kids I teach. I just felt shy using some words. These kids would be kids and think hugging and k**ssing is normal because we read these things to them funnily.
Been ages I came across fairy tales and already forgot what the stories were. Reading them again just made realise the problems started way before now. The alphabet people just made us more aware. With what we feed the kids with that stay in their subconscious,
Can we still say we trust what our kids can do behind us?
Muslim kids should be told that magic and witchcraft are bad and not something to play or joke with. There's nothing nice about a good witch. There are no good witches. It's all part of kufr and shirk.
