commercials have been reducing their sell positions more than 2-months back. and we said, they are in for business - they sell rallies (buys), and buy declines (sells).
commercials have been reducing their sell positions more than 2-months back. and we said, they are in for business - they sell rallies (buys), and buy declines (sells).
that is, they increase their short position into buy rallies in the market place, and increase their buy position into sell rallies in the market place. Let this sink a bit.

commercials have been reducing their sell positions for a while now, and non-commercials (which consists of hedge funds, banks etc) have also been reducing their buy positions likely preparing for a sell rally. unlike the commercials, non-commercials trade for profit.
so, knowing how to read both data reports is very important. technicals is all this is, even though a macro perspective. keep it simple.
