BREAKING: Tomorrow, #Israel's government - even more radicalized by hostilities in and around #Gaza - will proceed with special budget allocations to the maintenance and expansion of settlements in the occupied West Bank, and the dispossession of #Palestinians, including 153 million ILS (43 million USD):
* 94.3 million ILS for settlement construction
* 39.5 million ILS for a "search and destroy" ops of humanitarian aid in Area C of the West Bank
* 19.53 million ILS for West Bank military prep academies

Humanitarian relief and protection offered to #Palestinians will be subject to an operation to "detect in real-time unlawful [Palestinian owned or inhabited construction]... to improve the effectiveness of enforcement. Funds allocated to settlement local and regional councils allow for the purchase of off-road vehicles, body armor, camera-quipped UAVs, and other electronic surveillance equipment, and the employment of "reconnaissance personnel."

As mandated by law, the Cabinet Secretary circulates the agenda for the government meeting tomorrow. In breach of the law, the budget allocation - to be presented by Minister Smotrich (under item 7) - is not circulated. Kept hidden, at least for now, from those who would oppose Israel's wrongful behaviour in occupied Palestinian territory.

@calcalist reporting that at this hour, additional budget allocations are under consideration:
* 300 million ILS (81 million USD) to the Ministry of Settlement (headed by Orit Strook of Religious Zionism)
* 200 million ILS (54 million USD) top-up to the Ministry of Settlement
* 200 million ILS (54 million USD) for "empowerment and readiness" of West Bank Israeli settlements.
Israel is exploiting international attention drawn to hostilities in Gaza to further advance its annexation of the West Bank, and the suppression of Palestinian self determination.

BREAKING: these are the special budget allocation #Israel's government will vote on at 1800 hrs, confirming the following (for 2023 alone, with 5 weeks left to implement):
* 94.3 million ILS for settlement construction
* 39 million ILS for "search and destroy" of @eu_echo @EUCouncil funded humanitarian aid in Area C of the West Bank
* 30 million ILS for military prep academies in the occupied West Bank
* 1.4 million for Israeli settlements expansion in #Hebron
* 330 million ILS for arming settlements and outposts "civilian guard squads" in the West Bank (including with military-grade assault rifles, UAVs, patrol vehicles)

This is what #Israel's government is going to, in all likelihood, vote for:
"detect in real-time unlawful [Palestinian owned or inhabited construction]... to improve the effectiveness of enforcement."
Funds allocated to settlement local and regional councils allow for the purchase of off-road vehicles, body armor, camera-quipped UAVs, and other electronic surveillance equipment, and the employment of "reconnaissance personnel."
This is a militia of Israeli settlers mandated to obstruct humanitarian aid to Palestinians made vulnerable by the establishment and expansions of these very settlements.

UPDATE: Overnight #Israel's government voted in favour of the 2023 budget revision, demonstrating, once again, that above all it is committed to the annexation of occupied #Palestinian territory and the dispossession of Palestinians. Israel's government disregards international law and betrays its own people.

Perhaps very little in the grand scheme of things, but overnight 600K ILS were allotted to reinforce (occupied) East Jerusalem as "national tourism capital", and 4.3 million ILS to "documenting" Israeli settlements in #Gaza (withdrawn in 2005). The latter will be implemented by Amihai Eliyahu, Minister of Heritage, who recently called for detonating nuclear weapons over Gaza.
