“AI content doesn’t convert customers...”
People say this a lot. So I ask if they've tried:
1. Product-led AI content
2. AI-generated CTAs
3. Content upgrades
4. Low-funnel topics
5. Landing pages
The answer is always "no".
So here are 5 ways I get conversions using AI:
1. Product-led
- Build a free product relevant to the core (paid) product
- Generate leads and funnel users into the paid product
- Use AI content to create 100s of pages targeting keywords relevant to the free product
Here’s an example: 1,953 customers in 3.5 months.
Here’s how we did it:
1. Created a simple, free generator
Example: ‘Blog Name Generator’
2. Published 346 pages targeting a relevant keyword framework
Example: {Niche} Blog Name Ideas
3. Featured the free product at the top of the page (above the fold)

2. Custom CTAs
AI content doesn't promote your product 'out-of-the-box'.
But by using Byword.ai you can:

3. Content upgrades
How I convert 5-25% of blog traffic into email subscribers:
- Publish and rank articles
- Wait for 100-250 visitors / week

Content upgrades = A lead magnet created specifically for a particular article as a ‘bonus’ to help the reader take action.

Top funnel posts = <0.1% CR
Bottom funnel posts = 1-15% CR
For example, we published platform comparisons that convert 1-2% of visitors to our product.
Steal these lower funnel frameworks:
- [Competitor] Alternatives
- [Competitor] vs [You]
- [Competitor] Review
- [Your Product] Review
- Best [Category] Software
- How to [Solve a problem you helps solve]
*AI speeds up production, but these articles require human input too.
5. Landing pages
Create landing pages at scale to target all possible customers for your product or service.
Example 1: Real Estate Agent
Create pages for all of your services and target local areas.
E.g. Real estate agent in {location}
Example 2: US area codes for a virtual phone number company
Create content for all possible variations of your landing pages.
