Big debate on diversification.
I can see both sides of the argument.
Hereโs my dumb left-curved viewpoint if you care to pay attention: ๐

Diversification is dumb AF.
We all complain about inflation in fiat but alts have a far greater inflation than 99% of fiat currencies.
Therefore itโs not unusual to see these go down 90%+ in a bear market as thereโs no buying pressure to make up for the inflation + sell pressure.
This changes in a bull market.

Diversification is smart AF.
Different strong narratives will see spells of upside, certain coins inside that will outperform others.
I argue that itโs good to stick to 2-5 narratives (could even do 1 but Iโm too dumb to time that) that will do well.
For example:
- AI
- GameFi
- RWAs
- Perp DEXs
- L1โs + eco (shorter term flips in eco)
- L2โs + eco (shorter term flips in eco)
Some of these will crossover so you can be covered in a few narratives.
Diversify in the strong ones that cover your ass.
The risk of a project you have having an exploit, or fud is too great in crypto to maintain conviction in only 1 coin in each narrative.
Therefore itโs sensible to spread your load in a few coins from different narratives that:
A: Outperform the market
B: Dip less than their competition
Itโll give you peace of mind that youโre not โmissing outโ as the worst thing you can do is chase rotation, after rotation, continuously buying tops and continuously selling bottoms.
