Thareed is a former detainee in #Assad’s prisons "#Mazen_Hamada"
He escaped from hell to the Netherlands, then appeared in a television interview exposing the regime’s brutality and its torture of detainees. After they found out, they gave him safety, then lured him to return to Damascus and be tortured in prison until he died.⬇️

Mazen Hamada, 43 years old, from the city of Deir ez-Zor. He has been a Syrian refugee in the Netherlands for years. He worked in Syria for the French oil exploration company “Schmirger” in Deir ez-Zor province as a technician. He was a contributor to the procedures to prosecute the Assad regime, and appeared in the media talking about Torture in the regime's prisons⬇️
Mazen has been arrested three times since the beginning of the Syrian revolution. The first arrest lasted for a week on April 24, 2011, at the hands of State Security in Deir ez-Zor. The second arrest took place on December 29, 2011, by the same branch, during his return from Damascus, at the military checkpoints at the entrance to the city of Deir ez-Zor. It lasted about two weeks, but the third detention was the longest, as Air Force Intelligence officers arrested him in central Damascus until 2014.⬇️
Mazen Hamadeh provided many testimonies about the brutal torture and torture methods used by the Syrian regime on its opponents, which we will mention in detail. He said about the circumstances of his third detention in the Air Force Intelligence branch... these are some of them ⬇️

He was also exposed to "the use of hot oil - boiling water - and extinguishing cigarettes on the bodies of detainees."
After his release, Mazen Al-Hamada was still wanted by Syrian Regime intelligence. Therefore, he decided to leave Syria, and in his last days he was suffering from a financial and psychological crisis, and it seems that he was contacted by people from the Syrian embassy, which is close to the Assad regime.
He was lured to return to Syria with promises of releasing detainees (and according to some reports, they threatened to torture his family if he returned to Syria).
Hamada went to Berlin, where he obtained a passport and a visa from the embassy. Upon his arrival at Damascus airport, the security services of the regime arrested Hamada, and the last call was between Mazen and his nephew residing in Germany, and he said to him, “Pray for me.”

Finally... Mazen Hamadeh passed away and his dream of a free Syria was not achieved... but we will follow in their footsteps and remain in the covenant...
