even actual "heroic justice" speeches from characters like kamen rider or kakugo don't have this totalitarian/cult leader vibe. people stop at "goku isn't that heroic" but fail to point out how self-righteous and lame the dub-original speech is. it doesn't REALLY sound heroic
did Superman ever say creepy-ass shit like "I am truth, I am the light" in a comic that isn't known for being poorly written or trying to make him evil on purpose? it doesn't sound heroic at all
