Gabriel Moscardo is one of the best 6 prospects in the world right now.
It is no surprise that all the big clubs have scouted him. At 18 years old, he came into a relatively struggling Corinthians side and made his mark.
Let us look at what the data suggests.

His off-the-ball ability is great. He has the adequate pace and understanding to make the right tackle at the right time.
In the 1141 minutes he played, he won 22 tackles (1.74 per 90) with an accuracy of 59.5%. He also won 68.8% of his aerial duels at a rate of 1.74 per 90.
Overall, his duelling ability is brilliant. He averaged 7.10 duels won per 90 with an accuracy of 55.2%.
The teenager is also good at reading the play.
He averaged 1.58 interceptions per 90 and was in the 87th percentile in Brasilerao 2023.
He is also a dribbly boi.
He is very vertical with his progressive actions and has the ability to carry the ball from deeper areas. A bigger sample size would help paint a better picture in this aspect.
However, I found one thing surprising in the data. To the eye, his ball retention seems fine. But if we look at his ball retention numbers post-recovery, they are very low. In fact, they were the lowest among the Corinthians squad.
63.93% Ball Retention post-recovery was alarming considering he had played very less minutes and made very few recoveries.
This brought my attention to his incisive passing and after a little help from my eyes, I understood that incisive passing isn't one of his strengths.
In the end, I would like to point out that the sample size is relatively low and a lot of these things may change once he starts playing more regularly.
But, if he manages to keep himself fit for the next 10 years, he will definitely be one of the best DMs in the world.
