If you can't explain the essence of a strategy in a fairly simple, accessible way, it's probably too convoluted.

Strategy is ultimately Darwinian. Humans evolved to be strategic, albeit at a relatively small scale. So if you can't explain your strategy in terms people get, something is off.
In any case, how are people supposed to implement a strategy they can't understand? 2/
I'm referring here to the macro, overall strategic approach. Obviously implementing this strategy can be very complex.
But think: Containment. Pretty straightforward.
