This is a very fair argument. In no way am I suggesting he’d be the perfect appointment for Barcelona, but some criticisms of his game-model seem very unwarranted. His preference for a rigid(er) double pivot creates larger distances, but he can coach a good press & IP team.
He also seems to have had profile issues with Germany—lack of a #6, a clinical #9 etc.
But, his teams are fluid in possession (sets the conditions for), if the players look largely disconnected despite enough passing lanes open for combinations—it’s not a manager issue anymore.
& managers evolve. Lots like to watch their games back & learn from their mistakes. If he genuinely has looked at the unnecessary counters he faced at the World Cup & Bayern, and has tried to reflect on it—he’d genuinely be wanted by a lot of teams in the world.
