Sitaram Goel was either hypocrite or opportunist if he was not suffering from DID or PSD(by looking at his views strictly in Netaji's context).
Why i think so? Let's look into it in brief.
As we know he had written a letter to excuse himself from writing on Netaji on 1997..1/n
In his letter he had noted down his thoughts on Netaji which were pathetically negative to say the very least.
Some of his observations were-
1."I have NEVER fancied SCB as a National Hero or even Patriot in the proper sense".
( My emphasis on the word Never). 2/n
2. Word NETAJI was particularly distasteful for Goel.
3. Reason he pointed out as to why according to him Netaji was not a national hero was bcz Bose didn't believe in our people's capacity to achieve freedom from Foreign rule...3/n
4. Most astonishingly Goel went on saying "He( Netaji) may be hailed as a great patriot when patriotism has become monopoly of those who have been Soviet Stooges or ISI agents.
5. Comparing Netaji to Vivekananda Dayanand Aurobindo etc he declares that Netaji was'nt more than..4/n
..a mindless activist who hardly knew what he was doing.
For Goel Vivekananda Dayanand and Aurobindo was yardstick of patriotism....5/n
Goel had written this letter denouncing Netaji on 1997 .
4 years before this he had published a full 2 volume book called 'Growth and Genesis of Nehruism in India' on 1993.
In his book he had given several views on Netaji too.
Let's look at those and compare them with..6/n
...what is given in above letter.
1. As per his letter he NEVER fancied SCB as a national hero or a patriot.
Here in his book he is calling " The way of Subhas Bose was of a straight patriot".
Goel almost appears eulogising Netaji ,had this to say about him ...7/n
"It was while walking on that way that he went out of the country, organised Azad Hind Fauj, FORGED NATIONAL UNITY ON A BLOODY BATTLEFIELD, and Wreaked the morale of British Indian Army which( and not the resolutions of khaddar clad crowd, as we now are officially asked to ..8/n
...to believe) forced the British to quit India".
How interesting! In his letter he is boasting as to how he NEVER FANCIED Bose as a patriot and just 4 years back he was writing how patriotic Netaji was and that his act forced British departure i.e India's freedom..9/n
Second point to be noted is how he gave the reason for dismissing Bose as patriot was bcz he didn't believe in our people's capacity to achieve freedom whereas in his book he is degrading those same people who allegedly tried it as Khaddar clad crowds and their resolutions ...
by comparing him with superior Bose as patriotic... God ! height of hypocrisy ๐Ÿคฆ
2.Goel said in the letter that the word Netaji was particularly distasteful for him.
Here in the book he is extolling Bose by repeatedly writing Netaji.. Netaji. 11/n
3.
In his letter he had demeaned Subhas Bose for coining Jai Hind over Vandematram whereas in the book he had written that Azad Hind leaders coined it hurriedly in heat of energy ...i mean was this Goel guy complete gone case ?๐Ÿคก .....12/n
4.
250+ iq owner Goel had passed his wisest judgement in his letter that unpatriotic Bose was not more than a mindless activist and he hardly knew what he doing.
Now very interestingly in the book Goel thought differently .Here Goel is arguing that in the most eventful, testing
..and pressing moment of decision making days of entire freedom struggle that is during outbreak of world war 2 Congress had two options one was what congress took as an option other was what Netaji decided and here Goel is arguing - Had Congress gone the Bose way.. 14/n
Country would have attained freedom and partition could have been avoided.
But wait what - super duper genius patriot Goel is saying mindless activist unpatriotic Bose was right and his beloved Mahatma was wrong ๐Ÿค”
And what about believe in people's capacity ๐Ÿคฆ ..15/n
5.
Goel turned so shameless that he went on suggesting only when patriotism has become monopoly of Soviet Stooges or ISI agents will Netaji called as great patriot.
Well most interestingly, in his book he had himself credited Netaji to be the most important person..
... behind India's independence. Not once or twice three times he had repeated in two chapters.
Well, that means Netaji was liberator of India from the most powerful Empire in human history but he was not patriotic enough... God bless Mr Goel ๐Ÿคก๐Ÿค”๐Ÿคฆ๐Ÿ˜‡
After going through all this i can say either Goel was suffering from some serious mental disorder or he was first rate opportunist who was using Netaji only against Nehru and Communists, a treachery he was very eager to highlight in Nehru .
Cz nothing else describes Goel's characteristic duplicity vis a vis Netaji and how he dared to pass such repelling judgements on him, a man who was liberator of India for him just years ago.
He had not even written anything about Netaji in between as far as I know... 19/n
I have written this ๐Ÿงต showing double think and first rate hypocrisy of lunatic Goel cz he is often invoked by his doubly dubious and mentally impaired disciples to highlight India's greatest hero Netaji's so called real face.
Now they see their legendary mentor's real face ๐Ÿ˜ˆ
I can ( and perhaps will in future) write point to point counter of this so called great intellectual's pathetically low iq criticism of Netaji but that is already done by @chandrachurg and Smita Mukherjee very thoroughly.
My point was to highlight from this legendary badmouth eccentric Goel's own book how shameless he was when he was passing his mindless judgements on Netaji without thinking properly....n/n
