The boot camp from Full Metal Jacket is similar to the one the courts sent me to except for everyone there we criminals. I saw guys choose to leave and go to prison for years. The idea we use the same model for both punishing and preparing people is wild.
People regularly die at these camps but they're under less scrutiny than the military because these guys are criminals not patriots protecting freedom.
