Arun Yogiraj is a proud shudra whose creation every Hindu bows before today. Do temples appear out of thin air? Sthapatis, shilpis, rachayitas, nirmankars, vastuvits are all proud shudras. They build the temples. You know who doesn't build a temple because they are not allowed
to pursue such vocations? Brahmins. Do roads build themselves? Do crops raise themselves or food grow itself? Do boats build themselves? Proud of Chola naval prowess. Shipbuilders, maritime experts/engineers, dockyard architects, navigators were shudra.
Proud of the weaving that brought ancient India it's glory? Kanchipuram, patola, muga, baluchari, paithani? They are all proud shudras. Amazed at the marvel called Rani ki Vav, the super stunning stepwell? That was built by proud shudras.
Struck by the magnificence of Brihadeeswara temple? Proud shudras all the way. Stunned by the corridors of Ramanathaswamy temple, the 1000 pillar hall of Meenakshi temple and the unbelievable architecture of Kailasha temple Ellora? Sabhakars, again proud shudras.
Proud of the Ongole bull and Gir cows? Proud of the ancient Bilona method of ghee making? Perfected by shudras. Think of Operation Flood? Cows don't milk themselves. Can't stop marvelling at the Nagara/Vesara/Vijayanagara/Dravidian architecture? All proud proud shudras.
Wonder at the beyond marvellous marble/granite sculptures.. shudras again. Amazed at the Chola bronzes? Shudra sculptors. Speechless at the 2000 year old kallanai dam? Proud shudras at work? You think brahmins built the Sundial at Ujjain?
Heard of Siddha medicine, Kerala ayurveda? That's a forte again of proud shudras.
If someone tells you all this happened without knowing the relevant shastras, without extensive education and training in the relevant areas, without mentorship of gurus,
then that person's opinion is not even worth zilch.
Maybe shudras didn't know vedas but you know what they knew? Physics, Mathematics, engineering, geography, arts, architecture, building, construction, sculpting, blacksmithery, goldsmithery, bronze work, geology, vastushastra,
ayurveda, soil science, agriculture, astronomy, astrology, hydrology, every conceivable traditional art, performing arts, martial arts, silambam/kalaripayattu/malkhamb/swordsmanship? the list is exhaustive.
Ancient India or India as we know it is nothing without it's shudras, the hardest working varna of all.
