🚨Don't use ChatGPT for academic research.
It's hallucinating wildly, making up fake papers that don't even exist.
Instead, use these 6 AI apps to get real citations to published papers.
1. Scite
Go to scite(dot)ai and click on "Assistant."
Type in your question and Scite will answer it with reference to published papers.
Scite requires a paid subscription of €15.92, which is absolutely worth it.
2. Evidence Hunt
Go to evidencehunt(dot)com and click on "Chat."
Type in your question and Evidence Hunt will answer with links to published papers. Click on a link and it will give you the PICO analysis of the paper too.
Evidence Hunt is totally free to use. But it's limited to medical articles only.
3. System Pro
Go to pro(dot)system(dot)com and simply type in your question.
System Pro will give a list of articles with their abstracts. Click on "Synthesis" in the top-left corner and it will synthesize the relevant research for you.
System Pro is limited to medical articles and offers 10 free searches per month.
4. Lumina
Go to lumina-chat(dot)com and type in your question.
Lumina will answer your question with links to articles freely available. To read an article, simply click the link and Lumina will open it for you in a window.
Lumina has both free and paid plans.
