Prior to joining Biden’s White House, Lloyd Austin & Tony Blinken were board members of Pine Island Capital Partners, a private equity firm with only two portfolio investments: defense companies Precinmac Precision Machining & InVeris Training Solutions
Clyde Tuggle, former exec at Coca-Cola, is a co-founder of Pine Island Capital and CEO of InVeris Training Solutions. He’s also a CFR member and on the boards of Georgia Power Company, Center for Addiction and Substance Abuse, and US-Russia Business Council
So what is InVeris Training Solutions? InVeris is a Georgia, USA based defense company that is marketed as “the leading provider of technology-driven training solutions for defense forces, law enforcement agencies and commercial shooting range owners around the globe”
Put another way, InVeris offers two types of products (real world reconstructions of shooting ranges & weapons and virtual simulations of the same products) for two target audiences (police and military). Although the differentiation between police & military gets pretty blurred
“As urban environments grow increasingly volatile, the need for realistic survival training expands in importance”
The Augmented Reality SHOTT House is advertised for military training in “dense-population warfare” & “military operations in urban terrain” but also offers “SWAT training.” Police & Military appear interchangeable to InVeris. Both need the same urban warfare training products.
“InVeris’s military graded & approved training systems are now available for law enforcement training and can be modified to meet your department’s needs”
“Officer safety is upmost concern…Train students on impact strikes, chemical tools, less lethal options & deadly force”
InVeris has recently hired Erika Shields. Shield was Chief of the Atlanta Police from 2016-2020. She resigned right after the murder of Rayshad Brooks, and then was controversially hired, in 2021, as Chief Police of Louisville, the city where Breonna Taylor was murdered.
Anyways, it’s clear that InVeris Solutions—with its ties to Tony Blinken, Lloyd Austin, Erika Shields, and Georgia—is at the epicenter of the urban militarization that encompasses everything from Cop-Cities, the annihilation of Gaza, and police murders of Black Americans
