Important: Code interpreter is now available on Copilot
This means you can use and analyze files for free with GPT-4.
Here's how to access it and 3 detailed use cases ๐Ÿงต
1. Access the Code interpreter
โ†’ Go to the Copilot website on any browser
(copilot .microsoft .com)
โ†’ Click on the new paperclip icon to upload a file
โ†’ Or drag and drop your file directly
The rollout is gradual, so it's possible that the feature will arrive a little later on your side.
Note:
You'll also be able to access it directly in Windows 11's Copilot integration.
2. Chat with PDF file
โ†’ Upload your PDF file
โ†’ Select creative mode to use GPT-4
โ†’ Ask Copilot to explain it or extract information
Prompt examples:
- "Explain in simple words to a beginner in ML and LLM how this paper is a breakthrough."
- "According to this document, how many times faster is this model and how many times more energy-efficient is it?"
3. Analyze data
โ†’ Upload an Excel or CSV file
โ†’ Ask to process the data directly
โ†’ Or analyze it to write a formula
Prompt example:
"Generate the Excel formula used to calculate the average of the InsuredValue column in this document."
4. Duplicate your writing style
โ†’ Upload a document containing examples of text you've already written
โ†’ Use the prompt below to analyze your writing and draft a new text
Prompt template:
"This document contains 5 examples of [TEXT TYPE]. Analyze the writing style, redundant elements and structure of the [TEXT TYPE] examples in this document. Then write a new [TEXT TYPE] with exactly the same writing style, structure and elements about[TOPIC]."
It's the home stretch before I reveal my project involving Copilot and Copilot in Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, ...).
In the meantime, don't hesitate to follow me and let me know if you'd like to see some tutorials about it!
