Is it forbidden for women to work outside?
Answer:
β€’ No scholar has directly said that it is haram for women to work outside. Rather, he advises women not to work in the Secular system as most of the jobs are inappropriate from the Islamic point of view. (1/8)
β—† Conditions for outdoor employment of women:
β€’ Parent or husband's permission is required.
β€’ The veil should cover the face.
β€’ The environment must be Islamic i.e. there can be no free mixing of men and women.
β€’ The job must be lawful. (2/8)
These conditions are very difficult to meet in Secular systems.
β—† Nowadays earning halal income is difficult even for men. So women are saved from haram if they work under men instead of working outside this difficult system. Even the woman's father, elder brother, husband, (3/8
elder son do not share the sin. Most men want to earn to get married and settle down. Most women earn to get independent of man and do not seek to get married early. (4/8)
They will fight with men and take the jobs away from the men then the whole community will suffer as men are unemployed and can’t marry. Those women who are earning won’t want to marry an employed man.
β—† When women work outside the mass, many men do not get jobs, (5/8)
the number of unemployed increases, they cannot marry, as a result they resort to illegal or haram methods, while the responsibility of maintenance is on men. Women also suffer from the same problem.
β€’ As the number of job applicants outnumbers the number of job openings, (6/8)
the salary in a job decreases. As a result, both have to work hard to manage the family. That's what capitalists are wants.
β—† After all, Islam discourages women from going outside. (7/8)
If a woman is in danger or wants to work outside the above conditions for personal reasons can do but others cannot be encouraged but must be discouraged.
β—† Women will handle the house, men will handle outside. This is the teaching of Islam. (8/8)
