for sure there's something distinctive about the western family system though and i wonder if that's relevant in what we would understand as sophistication of moral reasoning, or in what we understand as the matters salient to ethics
in this case one could frame the chinese poster's ethics as a Kegan 3 misunderstanding Kegan 4 as being an op or impracticable maybe
