It's not even that you have to "disregard human rights," it's more that you have to recognize that not everyone is deserving of them.
If a person's guilt is provable, certain behaviors should disqualify them from the usual protections that a presumptively innocent person enjoys.

The problem is that even the worst proven criminals are treated with the same "dignity" as normal people.
People obviously should not be locked up or brutalized on mere accusations, but certain criminal acts should basically render them as legally non-human.
