Orne, with SEI funding, carved out a corner at Penn U in the early 60s. He didnāt publicize his CIA connection. In a letter to Orne, Marks reminded him that he'd denied participating in a #MKULTRA sub-project. Orne later recanted, admitting he was aware of the source of funding.
According to Army records, Penn U, hosted secret experiments in the 1960s of biochemical agents on prisoners at Holmesburg Prison. The toxins, poison gas & other chemicals produced by DOW chemical, were abruptly halted in 1972 when the prison's medical lab burned to the ground.

Dr. Robert Jay Lifton was the founder of the Human Ecology Fund, mentioned earlier. The CIA contractor that showered Dr. Orne with research grants in the 1960s.
Dr. Louis Jolyon West is one of the CIA's most notorious mind control specialists, currently director of UCLA's Neuropsychiatric Institute. It was West who brought a score of mind control psychiatrists to the UCLA campus.

Another psychiatrist appears with Dr. Orne in 1991 on the board of the FMSF. Dr. Margaret Singer, a retired Berkeley Ph.D., studied repatriated prisoners-of-war returning from the Korean War at Walter Reed Army Institute of Research from 1952 to 1958.
Singer turned up in 1982 on the book jacket of āRavenā - CIA's code-name for Jim Jones - by San Francisco Examiner reporters Tim Reiterman & John Jacobs. a thoroughly-researched account of the People's Temple that side-steps the CIA involvement.
