Whitewashing done by Buddhists to take support of Hindus . Things Hindus must known that Buddhists were worst blasphemers towards Hindu Deities.

According to Vajrayana Vuddhism and their texts Buddhist deities like Trailokya Vijaya & Heruka are stamping and crushing Síva and Parvati under their feet and killing them and then resurrects them and makes them Buddhists.
This was done to insult hindu gods like Siva & Parvati.

According to Buddhists, Boddhisatva Vajrapani drags Síva and Parvati by their hair makes them half naked and stamps foot on them to “discipline them”

Buddhist reaction of lord Vishnu was similar.
According to Buddhists , Vajrapani kills all deities like Indra and Vishnu and revives them back to life with his fart.
