@bvlldhist Aunt was battling with cancer in 2015; 3 months in ICU & ventilator; daily cost 85K. Cousins spent 55L, when they stopped paying in 3rd month, Apollo calls one morning and says she had died. They removed the oxygen after we stopped paying. It broke cousins financially forever
Pretty much everyone suggested against going Apollo. But we saw a ray of light hence admitted her there. Apollo would inject meds worth 30k alone everyday; sedated for 3 months. I took care of her in those 3 months. She was in a lot pain for those 3 months. I wouldn’t recommend private hospitals to my worst enemy in case of emergency. I think those 3 months broke something inside of me; worst nightmare ever.
Cousins are practically still broke bcz of this; business took nosedive since they took out all capital for her treatment

Before Apollo, we went to Holy Family, they said it’s an emergency case and referred to AIIMS. aiims said it ain’t emergency and refused to admit. Went to Safdarjung but condition there was worse than Africa with 3 patient on one bed. So finally took her apollo. Apollo had treated her earlier and bled us dry already; that’s why we were scared to go there again
Apollo wouldn’t take the deceased body bcz there were unpaid bills. Since unpaid bill was over 10L, we couldn’t arrange it in an hour or so. They said, body was kept safely in morgue, we could pay asap to claim the body.
I could explain how everyone was an asshole once unpaid bills were delayed but what’s the point. This happens everyday in Vishwagorilla

@bvlldhist Also, for the sake of clarity. They confirmed it was cancer only after her demise. Every time she ate or drank something, she would immediately puke it. Hospital docs kept on saying there was infections in her lung to which they termed cancer in her death certificate
