The biggest issue with the Boys is that its storytelling and world is not cohesive with itself.
It fucks up too much by trying to almost 1:1 parody the real world but in the worst ways that end up spiraling away

So, which is it? Superheroes stop actual crime and save people before joining Vought or they don’t?

I’ve talked about this a lot but the show messes up so much when you understand its source material or even when you pay any attention to how it tries to tell a story.
It’s entirely a mess on its own merits
