🔹According to recent data from the Marine Products Export Development Authority (MPEDA), India exported 17,81,602 MT of seafood valued at Rs. 60,523.89 crore (US$ 7.26 billion).

🔹Frozen shrimp emerged as the top export item, constituting 40.19% of the total quantity and contributing 66.12% to the total dollar earnings, with major imports from the USA and China.

🔹The USA remained the largest importer of Indian seafood, accounting for 34.53% of the total US$ value, with imports worth US$ 2.55 billion.

🔹Despite market challenges in the USA, EU, and the UK, India recorded a 2.67% increase in export volumes compared to the previous fiscal year.
