The GIST..!!!!
So this is what actually happened. We've been colleagues, then we became friends. She tells me literally everything, she doesn't know how to lie, she's strong opinionated, and phlegmatic.
She introduced her boyfriend to me sometime last year, when he saw her off to my place. David is cool, calm and collected. Man's smart, romantic and everything good as she told me and for the few times I spoke with him, I can affirm that he's a problem solver and kind.
So let's go down to how things went south...
There's this guy who is not her boyfriend that she spend hours with on WhatsApp video call, laugh and talk as friends would but then again I find it awkward that the call went for hours.
There was this time she was at my place that the call with this guys was unusual, I asked her who the guy was, she said he's her best friend and I was like "Really??"π€¨ so what is your boyfriend to you? β your worst enemy??? I think you should minimise all these talking you're having with him, your boyfriend wouldn't find this funny if he gets to know.
She said there was nothing serious between him and her bestie, that they are just friends, and I was like, "so you think all the lengthy video calls and chats meant nothing to him??, girl your clowning!" π€‘
"Zoey relax, you assume things too much. I and this guy have known each other since way back, there's nothing serious but friendship." She said.
I know she's stubborn, she's the type that doubts an actual fact until it happens to her. So I ignored her. Not until one time like that, her boyfriend called her number but it wasn't reachable, so he called mine, trying to know if his girlfriend is at my place that he's currently at her place but she's not at home. I was puzzled, I told him she's neither at my place. Then he asked me where could she have been or gone to?
What crossed my mind was her besty's residence. But I couldn't air it out to him cos I wasn't sure if it was there she went to but my instinct tells me she's there.
So David(her boyfriend) thanked me for picking up, then hunged up.
I immediately reached out to my other phone, dialed her other network, she picked. I asked "Where exactly are you?",
"Oh I'm at Tunde's"(bestie)
"Tun what???? This lady you're playing a fools game here and when things goes south, don't come crying to me. Anyways David just called me."
β "David called you?? She cuts in
"Yes, your boyfriend called me!".
"What did he say??" She asked in Desperation.
"I won't say a dickybird until you come back here and if you're not here in 20 minutes time, I'll call your man and tell him where you at!".
"You don't mean that Zoey".
"Try me!".π€·ββοΈ
I hanged up, 30 minutes later, she called me. "Open your door abeg!".
I opened the door, she came in, sat on the sofa as she dropped her bag on the floor.
"Start talking. What were you doing at Tunde's place?"
She doesn't know how to lie, if she does, I'll know. So that was how I knew Tunde invited her over to see a movie, they were watching the movie together.
"So why was your phone not reachable when your boyfriend called?" I asked.
She said her other phone was on DND.
"You put your phone on DND?? See, i may be simple, but not stupid! Tell me what went on behind closed doors Shade."
"Nothing happened although he was kinda acting funny then he told me how he felt about me and I was confused, I don't know what to feel till your call came in".
I've warned you severally yet you wouldn't listen. What exactly is your problem? Why are you so strong-headed?
Now to cut long story short;
Ada & Tomisin came to my place for the weekend so Shade was at her place, I called her line to to know if she's ready for the presentation on Monday at the office, remember we are also colleagues at work, unfortunately I lime didn't go through so I left a message for her on WhatsApp. My thought was, she's getting herself prepared.

I was like "this early sunday morning? Or is she coming to church with us?". Please let her in.
She came in. "Is Zoey in?", i heard her call my name, I came out from the kitchen to meet her to know what the occasion was.
"Zoey please ππ please help meπ I'm in trouble"π she said.
"Did anybody died? Why are you kneeling? Stand up abeg. What happened??" I asked as I looked at Tomi and Ada with a cursory gaze and they looked back with the same expression.
Then Shade opened up. She said David (her boyfriend) came to check on her at her place, unannounced. They were in the room having sex while her boyfriend entered without their notice. Sat on the sofa waiting for them to be done.
When they finished having sex and having their bathe together, she wanted to see Tunde off, she opened the bedrooms door and saw David standing in front of them with his eye red in tears.
Then he drove off.....
"See Zoey it was a mistake....I wanted to..."
"A mistake?????"π‘π‘π‘As you can see, we're about leaving for church before you came in, so please leave."
I was disappointed but not surprised. I couldn't drive cos I was not emotionally balanced, so I toss Tomi the keys, so she could drive us to church.
While on motion, her David called me thrice but I couldn't pick up cos I already knows what he wants to say. Perhaps will call him back later tomorrow and tomorrow is Shade's presentation at the office for a project she's been working on.
I don't know if she'd show up at work tomorrow, I also can't begin to imagine the pain David is going through. That guy is everything relating to what you can describe as good!!!
I'm also angry at the fact that she never listened to my warnings. Now she's saying it was a mistake. Is she m@d???
Anyways, she has learnt the hard way but then again, David deserves better. I'll call him tomorrow to hear him out. I hope he finds the courage to move on. I pray this experience doesn't alters his perception about love and women. Sadly, people are the reason people change.
