How the Feminist Movement Destroyed our Country 🧵
1848: The Seneca Falls Convention marks the beginning of the women’s rights movement in the United States. The Declaration of Sentiments is signed, calling for equal rights for women, including the right to vote.
1869: The National Woman Suffrage Association (NWSA) is founded by Susan B. Anthony and Elizabeth Cady Stanton, advocating for women’s voting rights.
1920: The 19th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution is ratified, granting women the right to vote. This is a significant victory for the women’s suffrage movement and marks a major shift in “gender equality.”
1963: Betty Friedan publishes “The Feminine Mystique,” sparking the second wave of feminism by highlighting the dissatisfaction of many housewives and calling for greater opportunities for women.
1964: The Civil Rights Act is passed, including Title VII, which prohibits employment discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex, or national origin.
1966: The National Organization for Women (NOW) is founded to advocate for women’s rights and equality in all aspects of life, including work, education, and politics.
1972: The Equal Rights Amendment (ERA) is passed by Congress and sent to the states for ratification, aiming to ensure equal rights under the law regardless of sex. Although it ultimately fails to be ratified, it remains a symbol of the feminist movement’s goals.
1973: The Supreme Court’s decision in Roe v. Wade legalizes abortion, granting women greater control over their “reproductive rights and autonomy.”
1991: Anita Hill’s testimony during Clarence Thomas’s Supreme Court confirmation hearings brings national attention to the issue of sexual harassment in the workplace.
2013: The ban on women in combat roles in the U.S. military is lifted, allowing women to serve in all military positions.
2020: The Supreme Court rules in Bostock v. Clayton County that Title VII of the Civil Rights Act protects employees from discrimination based on sexual orientation or gender identity.
In the final analysis, reality is not matriarchal, but patriarchal. To be under a patriarchy means you are under “father rule.”
When God created male and female, He did so with the explicit intention that the woman would submit to the man even as the Church is to submit to Christ. So, male headship is not random, but is based on the natural hierarchy which exists in the world, and the covenant of marriage is designed to be a microcosm for the way all mankind is to submit to its Creator who is the “God and Father of all.” (Ephesians 4:6)
This submission of woman to man is not based on a position of “equal rights” or equal authority, but based on the God given role of headship that man is to preside over.
Feminists have been deliberately undermining the God-ordained order of creation for years, and they do it through coercion, guilt, legal manipulation, and lies.
Feminist thought leaders slander men, labeling them oppressors, dogs, misogynistic pigs, and scoundrels—but they do not stop here. They attempt to make these labels reality by demoralizing men through alcoholism, divorce, pornography, and many other gross forms of wickedness. They reduce the men in society to nothing more than animals fueled by sexual passion, acting on fleshly impulses.
They then urge women to “liberate themselves” from a problem which they helped create. They tell women that they reserve the right to sacrifice their children, claiming that abortion is a fundamental right necessary for their freedom and equality. In doing so, feminists perpetuate a cycle of destruction and death that harms men, women, and innocent children, as well as the family unit overall.
The true liberation for women does not come from rejecting their God-given roles but from embracing them. In recognizing and respecting the natural order established by God, both men and women can find fulfillment and harmony. This involves men stepping up to their responsibilities as leaders, protectors, and providers, and women finding joy and purpose in their supportive and nurturing roles.
Patriarchy, in its truest sense, is not about domination or oppression but about exercising loving leadership and godly authority. When the family operates under this model, it reflects the divine relationship between Christ and the Church, bringing glory to God and stability to society. The attack on patriarchy is, therefore, an attack on the very foundation of order and peace in the world.
The bottom line is this: the feminist agenda seeks to dismantle the patriarchy not out of a desire for true equality or justice but to rebel against the divine order. In doing so, it sows chaos and strife, leading to broken families and fractured communities. To restore balance, we must return to the biblical principles of headship and submission, recognizing that true strength and dignity come from fulfilling the roles that God has ordained for us.
