How to glow up ASAP (No bs guide)
(Man don’t be fooled)
//Thread//🧵
1. Get a GREAT Haircut
Walking into the same place that toddlers and grandparents go for a $15 mall haircut isn’t the move.
It’s a haircut, sure, and it’s better than nothing, but when you’re looking to glow up, it’s not about doing the bare minimum.
I’m not even going to sit here and tell you to get a good haircut because that’s not good enough, either.
If you’re really serious about achieving a true glow up that’ll turn heads and leave a lasting impression,
then you need nothing short of a GREAT haircut.
2. Wash & Exfoliate
You’ve got to wash your face with a decent washcloth and a good cleanser.
It doesn’t have to be a whole ordeal, but it will make a big difference if this isn’t already part of your morning and nighttime routines.
There are different ways to exfoliate your face, including abrasive washes, tools, brushes, and more. A
decent face wash is the easiest way to get this done, but you want to be careful with exfoliants because they can damage your skin if you aren’t careful.
3. Hit The Gym
The gym isn’t just a place to train for losing weight or building muscle, it’s also a place to train your brain.
It’s a perfect place to reduce stress, to build your discipline, and to reflect.
This is another area that can be overwhelming and intimidating to someone who is just getting started or hasn’t even begun their fitness journey yet.
4. Eat Better
Much like the gym, eating a healthier diet isn’t just about how it makes you look.
Eating clean and focusing on whole, real foods will give you more energy, better mental clarity, and the fuel you need to stay on top of your game.
We’re not going to get into any wacky diet advice or try to summarize thousands of scientific studies.
At the end of the day, people react to different foods in different ways, but in general, I’m positive that you have a pretty good idea which foods are good for you and which ones aren’t.
5. Take Sleep Seriously
There’s been some debate about whether or not the “magic number” of 8 hours of sleep is actually ideal for every person.
It seems more likely that it varies per person, and that the amount of sleep you need is impacted by your lifestyle and how tough of a day you’ve had.
6• Style Your Beard
Don’t skip this section unless both of the following criteria are true:
•You don’t have a beard.
•You have a defined jawline.
If you already have a beard, or you don’t have a well-defined jawline, then you need to read this.
Only guys with great jawlines and no beards can skip this section, capeesh?
A well-styled beard is like makeup for men. It allows you to truly sculpt your face. The problem? A poorly styled beard is much worse than no beard at all.
While you’re at the carefully-curated barbershop from the previous section, make sure you also book a beard trim and style.
7. Fix Your Teeth
Whether you’ve got yellow teeth, crooked teeth, a chipped tooth, whatever: This is one of the single biggest improvements you can make to your overall appearance.
Not to make you self-conscious or anything, but people notice bad teeth instantly and it turns people off on a visceral level.
Dental work can be expensive, but it’s worth taking out a payment plan if you have to.
Eat ramen for a couple months, sell some plasma, beg, borrow, steal*… do what you’ve got to do, just get it done.
What does it mean to be a man in the modern world?

8. Oral Hygiene & Great Breath
It’s not good enough to run the brush over each tooth a couple times.
Just like fixing cosmetic issues with your teeth is important,
it’s equally or even more important to keep your oral hygiene on point.
Not only will it improve your breath, but it’ll keep your teeth whiter and help with stains, cavities, and other nasty looking and smelling stuff.
9. Overhaul Your Wardrobe
Don’t let this be overwhelming, you don’t have to replace all your clothing overnight.
In fact, a lot of what you have is probably serviceable – it’s a matter of matching the right outfit with what you’re doing and where you’re going.
Start with a quality oxford shirt, some plain T’s, a nice pair of jeans, some khakis, and you’re off to a great start.
The basics can take you a long way. From there, just build on the foundation you’ve made and carve out your own style.
10. Lotion Up
Do you get compliments on your skin? This is an area where so many guys fall flat on their faces,
so even a modicum of effort is going to be something that people will notice. It really doesn’t take much,
but we’re going to go beyond the bare minimum because a little extra effort goes a long way.
11. You Need To Scrape Your Tongue
Go look in the mirror right now, is your tongue pink or is it some grotesque shade of white/gray?
Get a tongue scraper, use it every single morning and before you leave the house, and use it until your tongue is pink.
If you don’t take this extra step, and nobody has ever told you that your breath stinks, you need to find some more honest friends but we’ll deal with that in another guide.
12. Curate Your Signature Scent
Put away your $20 drugstore bottles of cologne.
We’re not worried about the people who can’t tell the difference and will think any scent is good, we want to impress the people who can tell the difference.
This way, all of your bases are covered.
I’m not saying you have to run out and drop $500 on a bottle of Aventus or anything like that.
Just put a bit of thought into it. Finding a good fragrance involves more than merely choosing something that smells alright or has good reviews. You need to find a fragrance that matches your body and that suits the setting and season.
13. Read Every Day
Books, in-depth articles, even fiction… reading just hits differently than scrolling on social media or watching videos.
There are many different ways to learn, but there’s something uniquely relaxing and satisfying about reading a book.
If you rarely read, then even 20-30 minutes at the end of your day will have a positive impact. Not to sound like a school teacher, but books will help you be more thoughtful, more mindful,
and will generally give you more to talk about in your day to day, thus making you a more interesting person to be around.
14. Build and Maintain Solid Friendships
You don’t need 50 people to recognize you whenever you’re out and about, and you don’t need to have a packed social calendar.
What you do need is at least one or two solid friends that you can count on for anything, and who can count on you.
•This book will change your life ,unleash your inner beast
