1• Avoid Douching; this practice is highly discouraged because it changes the cabins micro flora, increases your risk of being infected, cause irritations
Your vagina does not need douching to look good and stay fresh.
2• Take probiotics ; Lactobaccilus acidophilus is highly recommended to maintain the vaginal integrity.
It prevents bacterial vaginosis and yeast infections, improves immune response in the vagina, prevents recurrent infections, and generally lowers the risk of vaginal irritations
3• When you want to host genital parties, use condoms when necessary; this is important when your partner's status for STIs is unknown.
STIs are not friends with the vagina. Sometimes you may need a condom if you have a semen allergy.
4• Change sanitary pads and tampons regularly;
5• Choose lubricants wisely; observe what brand you are comfortable with and the ones that cause irritations
6• Avoid misuse of vaginal pessaries; this is especially for ladies who insert clotrimazole too frequently due to yeast infections.
Seek proper help and get the right treatment
7• Avoid Antibiotics misuse ; this contributes to diminshing the level of the goof bacteria in the vagina.
When this happens, it may put you at risk of recurrent infections.
8• Avoid scented vagina wipes and tissues papers, avoid harsh solutions and soaps around your vulva, and avoid vagina perfumes and sweeteners.
