babby's first Atlus game is winning. journos are bloggers who fantasize abt being importantβ’ ecelebs, nothing more. many have never touched persona (ew kawakami and dating mechanics), now they wanna join muh Atlus "family". barely any will finish it and see the actual message.

Rebirth has better character writing, set pieces, music, more innovative and interesting RPG combat, and then some. but there's been an NPC strain of thought for ages in gaming discourse (which reached a fever pitch w the release of FF16) that turn-based RPGs are under attack.
Metaphor winning will let these diva journos take some BS stance about how turn-based is still king (no one ever denigrated turn-based systems), all for some basic bitch Persona lite combat, and more importantly, it'll let them feel like they're "responding" to Trump's victory.
