(2/n) Here one can see he is dropping a ball like offering into the fire-pit. There is always something interesting to discover in Gupta coins. ( This coin sold in London at a fixed price store to some collector)

@VamsiTatavarthy @pritishmohanty @PuneeshN (3/n) This is another such coin, where one can see a smaller ball like offering being dropped. Different die-engravers made different designs! (From an European auction in 2024) x.com
@VamsiTatavarthy @pritishmohanty @PuneeshN (4/n) Other interesting design elements to observe in these coins (and many other of the javelin type), there are three flames shooting out of the Agni-kunda and there blades of grass growing between his feet.
@VamsiTatavarthy @pritishmohanty @PuneeshN (5/n) Another rare feature seen in this coin (which is seen in SGI archer type coins and in Kachagupta coins - in some varieties) is - "The king having a halo with rays as a beaded border outside the halo" ! @avataram @PrasunNagar
