Not able to confirm this but Theodore Roosevelt and Bram Stoker were friends who met before Dracula was published and I've always wondered if Stoker thought "I bet that guy could hunt a vampire" and just added an American cowboy to Dracula.
I've spent months researching Theodore Roosevelt for a serious work but I am willing to abandon it all to do "Roosevelt Hunts Dracula" x.com
Roosevelt is a cryptozoologist who used his Presidency to document and protect the supernatural. In 1910, TR visits his dying friend Bram Stoker who some think has gone mad. Stoker reveals to TR that Dracula is real and TR sets out to hunt him.
