This is why I cringe when I see loaded questions like

from people who assume that whatever brilliance they are witnessing must be a result of lectures received from 'school'.
Wrong.

Schools are designed to mass produce human versions of worker ants to perform mundane but glorified tasks that keep the polity running.
They are not intended to produce thinkers, or positive outliers who change world.

You will not learn anything in school that will inspire you to pioneer an idea or a piece of tech - or think like IM or Possible. That is the exclusive purview of those curious enough to teach themselves. Always. Everyday.
