@JoelLoren1 @Shotgun_Chuck @WBarlaam It's mostly regulations. CAFE pushes styling convergently towards whatever the wind tunnel says is the most efficient shape for a given interior volume and form factor. CAFE also means you can't offer the fun engine anymore because it gigs your MPG averages.

@JoelLoren1 @Shotgun_Chuck @WBarlaam This is exacerbated by the rise of "global" cars which are built around the inherent poverty and even more crushing road taxes and emissions regs of just about every country that isn't us, so the engines are even smaller and the cars are even more boring. Nothing to push us.
