WHY MOSQUITOES HAVE A CRUSH ON SOME PEOPLE
With that buzzing at night, Mosquitoes are likely the most annoying vectors.
Did you know that in a room of 2 or more people, Mosquitoes select who to bite more?
Here are 8 reasons why Mosquitoes bite some people more than others.
Come with me 👇
1• Carbon dioxide attraction; even from far distance mosquitoes are attracted by the release of CO2.
People who take out more air are likely to be more bitten and hence more infected. Examples are
-Overweight and obese people
-Pregnant women
-People who generally have a high metabolic rate
2• Heat attraction; if your room is usually hot at night then mosquitoes are likely to enjoy feasting on your blood.
They like the environment warm
3• Attraction to sweat; Sleeping without having your night bath increases your risk of bites
This is especially after certain activities like exercise, sex, etc
4• They are attracted to people with more community of microorganisms on their skin;
our skin microflora vary and the diversity and amount each of us have play a role.
The more the microbe diversity on your skin, the more beautiful your skin looks to mosquitoes
5• Mosquitoes are likely to bite you more if you drink beer at night and do not brush and shower
The smell of Alcohol gives them joy and they would wish you called them to join you earlier.
6•They are also attracted to darker clothing
7• Mosquitoes are attracted to people who eat more sugar, salty and spicy food.
Bananas have been implicated in this category : if you must eat it at night, wash hand properly and clean your mouth before sleeping
8• They prefer blood meal from blood group O individuals
