๐Ÿ“š๐Ÿ’ฅ1Timothy 3:16๐Ÿ’ฅ๐Ÿ“š
โ“Was "GOD" manifested in the flesh, or deliberately added to the textโ“
Although most Bible Translations removed the word GOD & now read it as:โ€œHe was manifest in fleshโ€,The KJV somehow decided to keep it & ignore the overwhelming evidence๐Ÿ‘‡
THREAD ๐Ÿงต..
Let's start with the Greek Manuscripts & see if the word THEOS "GOD" is mentioned in the passage:
๐Ÿ“œ1st Greek Manuscript - Brooke F. Westcott and Fenton J. Hort
๐Ÿ“œ2nd Greek Manuscript - Constantin von Tischendorf
When reading the original Codex Alexandrinus for 1Timothy 3:16, Westcott, Fenton, & Tischendorf, -The highly recognized scholars & experts in the field- did NOT find the word โ€œGod" in there..What they actually found written was the Greek word แฝƒฯ‚ which means โ€œheโ€ or โ€œwhoโ€
Almost all Biblical Scholars agree that the word God was not in the original manuscript, but was added by later scribes
This is why the word God is replaced by He, Who, or Which in ALL revised editions
Evidence?
Let's check out 1Timothy3:16๐Ÿ‘‡in 23 different Bible translations:
- SCHOLARSHIP 1 -
Quotations from Biblical Scholars commenting on 1Timothy3:16... ALL affirming the corruption of the text by pointing out the deliberate change of the word from OS to THEOS by some later scribe
**** J. A. Bengel, Anthony Buzzard, Isaac Newton ***
- SCHOLARSHIP 2 -
More Quotations from some well-respected biblical scholars/researchers who have also concluded that the original reading of the text did NOT speak of Christ as God manifest in the flesh, but of Christ who was made manifest in flesh
Bart Ehrman, J. J. Griesbach
- SCHOLARSHIP 3 -
More quotations from 3 well-respected scholars & academics
- Andrews Norton
- Richard N. Longenecker
- Reverend Benjamin B. Warfield: Professor of the
New Testament
Bruce Metzger breaks down the process of the forgery letter by letter... literallyโ€ผ๏ธ
What a shame.. How can someone deliberately forge and change what they believe to be the word of Godโ“
No muslim dares to misread a letter in the Quran.. let alone to think about changing a word
We've provided plenty of evidences to demonstrate that:
- 1Timothy3:16 does not say โ€œGod was manifest in
fleshโ€, instead โ€œHe was manifest in fleshโ€
- The Greek wordโ€œOCโ€ was changed into โ€œTheosโ€
- The earliest manuscripts do not read God (Theos) but he, who or which.
