If you are struggling to be productive, read this
Stop working overtime
Instead, become productive
Think about those 80 hour weeks. Are you achieving what you want?
Your work is less effective over time
Instead, focus tasks create momentum
Sleep more, work less
All-nighters get projects done?
Reducing 1 hour of sleep a night makes the brain work at legally drunk levels
Instead, optimize your schedule so your bain can work on all cylinders
Stop saying β€œyes” to tasks low ROI tasks
β€œThe difference between successful people and very successful people is that very successful people say β€œno” to almost everything.”
β€” Warren Buffett
Your time is valuable. Are you getting your time's worth out of what you’re doing?
Don’t let them guilt you into stuff you don’t need
Saying β€œyes” is easy. Cooperation is programmed in. Nobody wants to be the bad guy. Yet there is only so much of you.
Your dreams need you to stand up for them
Recognize the choice in each activity
You make your life with your choices
Slow down your responses
- take a breath
- consider options
- check-in with your values
Let others help you
You know those people who you do tons of favors for? They can help you too
Sometimes, they can even do a task better than you
Learn to leverage people to grow
Stop pretending to be perfect
Nothing will be perfect. Yes, it can be better than it is now. However, how much better does it need to be in order to get what you want?
Let the intention for the project be the guide to see if it’s helpful to continue or not
